I love mom and pop style diners and this is my top choice for the area they only accept cash or check only which is fine for the service that you get I absolutely LOVE this place and all the people that work here :)

My wife and I were going to Owensboro, KY. So, we thought we'd check out a local diner cafe. And we chose Deloris's Cafe, and we had breakfast. I had eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and toast and hashbrowns. My wife had a similar dish only with ham. The bacon was thick and crisp and very good. Eggs were cooked over medium, and they were absolutely perfect. The biscuit was light and flaky, very good. Toast was good. The one thing is, the gravy was kind of substandard, maybe out of a box. I was disappointed in the gravy. Their server was very helpful. Very good food, came out quick, though they were very crowded. The place is old and dingy, but not dirty. It seems to be a local's favorite. If this review was helpful, please give me a thumbs up.

Popular local hangout. Elisabeth is one of the friendliest, respectful, and efficient waitresses around. She loves her job and it shows. Great food at a good price. Note: credit cards NOT accepted.

Absolutely charming with exceptional service The food was very good loved the flavors. I do wish they had flavored coffee creamer but all in all it is one of the best cafés in the tri-state

First time visiting. We arrived at 9:50 had our diary table touch @9:55. We ordered our food in a packed house at times standing room only. As avid food critics and travelers we know about wait times, ticket times. In saying that we were satisfied at the 30 mins to get our food out. Everything came out hot and as ordered. My only complaint was the hash browns as they were under cooked. Everything g else was to perfection and tasted fresh and homemade. Service was friendly, with lots of laughter and team work. I never saw anyone standing around. I like that as it shows the effort of team work and enthusiasm for their jobs. Well done everyone! I look forward to visiting again soon. Defiantly worth trying and will be trying g their lunch as well. Happy exploring! Foodies
